Jackie Johnson On Fire

I can't believe what I'm seeing tonight on the KCAL news during the weather reports with Jackie Johnson. I can't remember Jackie looking this way before. This is stuff of legends. I mean she's even got the wet look below her neck. Goodness gracious. I will look for video and hopefully update later, but the picture above will have to suffice for now. Thanks to 2DeckSteven on Twitter for being on the same wavelength.

Here's one more photo via Twitter from CNTSTPDRMN:

Here's the video link to one of Jackie's reports from tonight, but the video quality doesn't do it justice.

John Wooden Greatest Of All

As if we needed this confirmation, John Wooden was voted the greatest coach in American sports history by the Sporting News and there was a luncheon to honor the former UCLA leader on Wednesday. Just wanted to make sure this was noted for posterity. The photo above is the 98-year-old Wooden with current UCLA coach Ben Howland.

Blondie And Pat Benatar Rock

Went with some friends to the OC Fair the other night and saw Blondie and Pat Benatar in concert there as part of their "Call Me Invicible Tour." I had certain expectations of what I'd see and let me say that these two definitely delivered. Blondie was awesome and Deborah Harry still has a great voice. Well, so does Pat Benatar for that matter. It was really a great time and both put on wonderful shows. The highlight might have been when Blondie did a tribute to Michael Jackson by doing a sleepy version of "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" to close out her set:

And here's a bit of "The Tide Is High":

And here's a mostly acoutic version of Pat Benatar's "We Belong":

Pat Benatar closed with "Heartbreaker":

Nirvana Gets Rickroll'd

I have to credit one of my loyal readers MC Bonkers for turning me onto this video below. I have no idea how old it is, but it's the first time I saw. I must say that I will never look at Nirvana the same again. Thanks Rick Astley.

Porrista Pics O' The Day

A loyal reader recently commented that the quality of the porristas seemed as if it had gone down, and I can't say I disagree with him. But the Mexican soccer league finally started up again and hopefully we're on the road back to increasing the quality.

Giada's Hot Frozen Moments

We've gotten a little backlogged so here are the top moments from the "Giada at Home" show in July.

Giada knows how to sniff it out:

And she really enjoys her food:

Some of the best moments happen while she's not even cooking or is outside the kitchen:

Boy, 12, Makes Pro Debut

A 12-year-old boy in Bolivia became the youngest player to ever appear in a top-flight professional soccer match recently. Mauricio Baldivieso played the final nine minutes of Aurora's game against La Paz FC. Makes it easier when your father, Julio Cesar Baldivieso, a Bolivian legend, is the coach. Apparently club officials later told dad not to play his son again so he quit and took his son with him. No word on where they will end up.

Grid Girl Photos O' Week

It has been about a month of more since we last featured the women of motor sports, so we figured it was high team to get caught up. Enjoy.

But before we get too far behind...

More Maria Verchenova

So if you joined us yesterday you saw the photos from the Evian Masters that featured Maria Verchenova, Natalie Gulbis and Paula Creamer -- all easy on the eyes female golfers. The tournament continued today with some fabulous shots of Verchenova that we are proud to bring you today.

Pussycat got your tongue?

A more traditional look:

In action on a drive:

More of the same with a nice midriff shot:

She's really good at standing, as you can see:

Lining up that putt:

I think they were taking a picture of her golf glove:

This is No. 3 in our on-going feature. Still have like 17 more to go. Enjoy.

Golf Hotties O' The Day

There aren't NEW golf hotties, but we also never get tired of them. And especially when they're playing in France. Kinda makes it hotter for some reason.

OK, let's start out with Maria Verchenova, who we have featured here before:

Concentrating on making that putt:

Picking up the ball after success:

Natalie Gulbis is always fun to look at:

Do I need to repeat it?

Any time you can get Natalie Gulbis to hug Paula Creamer, all is well with the world:

More Synchronized Swimmers

What can I say? They keep publishing photos from the World Swimming Championships in Rome so we feel it's our duty to show you what you might be missing. Here are more synchronized swimmers for you to see. You might want to click on some of these images:

And now, let's take it up a notch:
