Don't Mess With Elizabeth Lambert

Elizabeth Lambert has become the newest internet sensation after her "amazing" display in a New Mexico-BYU women's soccer game Thursday. Lambert pulled some of the most unsportsmanlike (womanlike?) things I've ever seen on a soccer field. I know it gets physical sometimes, but this was just beyond acceptable. It seemed as if she had a personal vendetta against someone on the team or perhaps BYU in general. Another thing I found curious was how on all these highlights you never see a BYU player (either the one who was the victim or another teammate) go after Lambert for her brutality. See for yourself.

Today, New Mexico decided to suspend Lambert "indefinitely" for what she did, and it was followed with the usual, lamenting "this is not me" statements from the player. I joked with my daughter, a former high school player, that perhaps if she had played like Lambert she might've gotten a college scholarship ... or thrown in jail. The other interesting thing is that New Mexico's athletic website has completely removed any mention of where Lambert is from. Her bio does not list a hometown or high school and the team's roster page has removed the references for only her listing. Well, we're here to tell you that Lambert went to Paraclete High School in Lancaster, Calif. It's a Catholic school by the way. Last time I checked, Catholics and Mormons don't mix well. Hmm, now it's all starting to make sense. Ha

Unbelievable. She needs a good ass-kicking.
